Week 10 - Tebow throws and Jets woes

The Jets traveled to Washington to take on the Redskins in an AFC/NFC clash week 10. Jets came out strong and went into the half with a 28-14 lead, but where shut out 2nd half and gave up 3 TDs to lose their 3rd game of the year 35-28. Tim Tebow had his best passing performance all year, going 12-12 with 3 TDs in the first half, but two late INTs set the Redskins up for the go ahead score and ended any shot at "Tebow Time."

Week 12 - The Asterisk* Game

Jets escape a controversial game in Miami with their 8th win of the year. Tebow continues with his hot hand and throws for his 2nd consecutive 250+ yard game, first time back to back in his career. The WR formally known as Ochocinco, Chad Johnson, caught his 3rd pass of the year but made it count in the 4th as he slipped a tackle and scored to tie the game late. After a Miami fumble at the 2 minute warning, the Jets were able to run down the clock, kick the go ahead FG with time running down and escape with a W.

All news isn't all good for the Jets though, as Quinton Coples was placed on season ending IR following the game after sustaining a hip injury.

Week 13 - Beat down in NYC

Jets entered their week 13 matchup against the Titans with a chance to take control of their playoff hopes and distance themselves in the Wildcard race. Instead? They got blown out and embarrassed at home. Even though they only lost the turnover ratio 3 to 2, their lack of 3rd down conversions and inability to stop the Titans and giving up big plays led to an embarrassing 69-24 home loss.

Week 14 - Down to the wire

Wildcard implications, playoff birth on the line, the Jets and Raiders took the field in Oakland Sunday and it took all 60 minutes for a winner to emerge. Jets took momentum early, the Raiders roared back, and in the end it came down to a handful of plays.

Week 15 - Playoff hopes dwindling

Following a tough loss in week 14, the Jets head to Kansas City to take on the AFC West leading Chiefs. Needing a win to stay alive in the playoff chase, the Jets put in a halfhearted effort in a 41-21 loss. Their passing game hit a new low this week, accumulating only 10 yards (-7 net) in the losing effort following Tim Tebow's 3 for 8 performance. Talks of rebuilding have already begun.

Week 17 - Jets ass meet Pats boot

More of the same for the Jets in week 17. They travel into Foxboro and head home bow legged narrowly avoiding a shut out. Major overhaul needed during the 2014 Offseason.

    Second half Highlights

Very little good happened in the Jets 2nd half of games, but enough footage was found to make somewhat of a highlight film.

Postseason - Jets clean house, hire College HC

In an effort to turn things around following their 2013 collapse, the NY Jets have gone out and hired Tim Tebow's former college head coach Urban Meyer. It's no secret that the Jets had the worse passing attack of the league in 2013, much of which was a direct result of inconsistent play at the QB position. But with a weak QB class and unknown FA pool, the Jets have decided to secure a coach who can use Tebow to the best of his abilities, if he is to be the 2014 starter.

    Preseason Recap

Preseason is in the books for the NY Jets. High points include standout play from the rookie LBs, CBs, and WRs. Low points include terrible QB play and injury to rookie MLB Shawn Ford. Jets finished the Preseason with a useless record 3-1, but did get some practice against two future season opponents (Jacksonville and Seattle).

    Week 1 - Ugly Win

The Jets open up their year with a win at homes against the visiting Seahawks. Sloppy at times, they escaped with the win thanks to two big plays by Chris Rainey, who accounted for the Jets first and final touchdowns.

    Week 2 - Deja Vu

Once again the Jets were behind late, once again they slip by with an ugly win. Change is needed.

    Week 3 - Changes Needed

Changers are definitely needed following the Jets week 3 game. The defense looked sloppy, the offense lackluster. Sitting 2-1 and tied for 2nd in their division, the Jets need to find an identity soon.

    Week 4 - Progress Made

Moving to a 4-3 look this week going into their match up with Miami, the Jets defense played a much better game. Still plagued by giving up big plays, changes in the right direction have been made. Tebow got the start and was kept in for all four quarters.

Week 5 - Pound the Rock

Who needs to throw the ball? The Jets didn't, only attempting 6 passes the entire game in their week 5 match up against the Rams. Jonathan Stewart got his 1st start and carries of the year, running for 100 yards and 1 TD.

Week 7 - Train keeps rolling

Coming off their bye the Jets picked up just where they left off in St Louis and put forth another convincing win. Tebow had a very efficient day, accounting for nearly 200 yards passing and 2 TDs without an interception. The running game put up 200 yards for the second straight outing.

    Week 8 - Homecoming

The Jets traveled to Jacksonville for their week 8 match up against the Jaguars. Hometown hero Tim Tebow had an efficient day throwing for 2 TDs and adding another with his feet.

Week 10 - Battle for AFC East

The Jets hosted the undefeated Patriots in week 10, the winner would take over the division lead. The Patriots surged in the 2nd putting up 21 points, then the Jets roared back and tied it midway in the forth. But, on this Sunday, it was Brady time not Tebow time that sealed the game.

Week 11 - Battle for #2 in the AFC East

The Jets probably won't win the AFC East, but they can sure as hell fight for the runner up spot. They host the Dolphins in a match up of 7-2's squads looking to solidify a run for the playoffs. Tebow vs Tannehill 2014 2.0.

Week 12 - Second half surge

The Jets hosted the visiting Bills this week, the second time facing the Bills this year. The score stayed tight the first 30 minutes, but an offensive and defensive surge in the final 30 minutes ended with the Jets notching their 9th win of the year.
