Top 5(Memorable Scenes From a Movie)

Post by splff3000 on Sun Aug 14, 2011 1:24 pm

So the NFL Network has this show called Top 10. It's where they pretty much rate the top 10 of all kinds of shit, from players to games to whatever. They'll have something normal like the top 10 receivers or something like that, then the next show will be something like the top 10 teams that didn't win the superbowl and so forth. I thought it would be kinda cool if we did something like that. Instead of top 10, it'll be top 5 to keep shit concise. This one is:

TOP 5
Memorable Scenes From a Movie

List your top 5 scenes that are memorable to you. They could be memorable because of the movie itself or because of the circumstances that you saw the movie in. I know I remember the scene of the movie I was watching the first time I ever got a blowjob. It didn't make my top 5, but it would have definitely made my top 10 lol. Also, please try to keep this as spoiler free as possible. Btw, just because these are my top 5 scenes doesn't mean these are my top 5 movies. Anyway, here we go:

#5

Tron Legacy - Daft Punk Club Scene

If something happens in a movie that makes me rock back and forth in my seat and simultaneously say Oh shit!!, it is automatically entered into my greatest moments of a movie. My thoughts were validated when Kid watched this movie at my house and did the same thing, on this scene, that I did when I saw it the first time. This one is great because of the sound. The scene is tight, but what really gets you is the sound.
Spoiler:
When Jeff Bridges touches the floor the bass frequency gets lower and lower and the lights get darker and darker. As the lights come back on, the bass frequency get's higher. When it finally gets up the the music has changed, the whole lighting in the room is different, and the light fighters have an advantage over the red fighters.
This whole scene makes it look like Jeff Bridges came in just changed everything. You will not get the full effect of the scene without a good sound system. Luckily for me, I have an outstanding sound system and it makes this scene all the more spectacular.

#4

Transformers - Opening Scene

Going into this movie, I had no idea how it was gonna be. Me and my wife actually came to see it kinda as an afterthought. We were on a "date" and just kinda decided to check out a movie. I'll never forget this scene because when Blackout transformed, the whole theater was like oooooh shit, myself included. That was some tight shit. Michael Bay did a great job setting up the scene so that Blackout's transformation changed the whole feel of everything. This is another scene that is much better with a good sound system. The sound of the slowed down propeller spinning in the beginning just really kinda sets the mood.

#3

Spiderman - World Unity festival Scene

Just like with Transformers, I went and saw the first Spiderman as kind of an afterthought. I then went and saw it 3 more times after that lol. This is the only Spiderman of the 3 Sam Raimi Spidermans that actually captured the essence of Spiderman. I'll save all that tho for another top 5 topic. Watching this scene, I really felt like I was watching Spiderman as I envisioned it being in live action. From the dramatic entrance of the green Goblin, to the fighting between the two, and ending with the epic cry of "We'll meet again Spiderman" from the green Goblin, this scene just felt so right. Like I said, I saw this movie 3 times at the theater, and all 3 times after this scene, I was smiling lol.

#2

Heat - The Shootout Scene

There are some scenes that are so epic, they can't be put into words. This is one of those scenes. Everything about this scene from beginning to end is awesome. Enjoy!

#1

Se7en - What's In The Box

You know a scene is great when other shows and series try to copy it. This has to be one of the most popular scenes ever. I know I was literally at the edge of my seat wondering......... What's in the Box?

Some honorable mentions that I have to list:

- The Game(The Ending)
I never expected it to end like that. A great fucking movie.

- The 6th Sense(The Reveal)
I saw this at the theater and when they did the reveal, you heard a whole bunch of whispering oh shits lol.

- Zack and Mirri Make a Porno(The Dutch Rudder)
I literally fell out of my chair laughing on this scene. I was drunk as shit and had been laughing through the whole movie. This was the icing on the cake. The dutch rudder lol.

- Any Given Sunday (The Locker Room Scene)
Remember this is memorable scenes, not favorite scenes lol. I was on a date with this chick and we went to see this. Soon as they showed that mfer's gorilla dick, I was like WTF?, but she said mmm lol. It was a very awkward moment lol. Also, this started the trend of showing dicks on camera. Before Any Given Sunday, there were noooo dicks on camera. Now every comedy got a surprise dick pop up somewhere lol.

Se7en and Heat are phenomenal movies. Definitely top 5 material with Se7en probably getting the top spot.

Brad Pitt kills that scene man. You feel so many different emotions watching him man. You're like is he gonna kill him..I would kill that motherfucker!!..but then he will win...but fuck it..and then POW!

Alright here's my top 5

5) Forrest Gump - Coons

Splff said they had to be memorable, not favourite or all time best. Clark would understand why I put this scene here lol. A great movie, but if you ever hung out with me and clark and our friends you would here the "coons!?" quote about 100 times.

4) Pulp Fiction - Ezekiel 25:17

This is one of my all-time favourite movies, and this is the first scene I think of when I remember the movie. Just a classic quote, and I think it's summed up best later in the movie: "I never gave much thought to what it meant. I just thought it was some cold-blooded shit to say to a motherfucker before I popped a cap in his ass."

3) The Departed - Final Scene (SPOILER)

I'm sure most of you have seen this movie, but if you haven't don't watch the clip. I also won't give anything away here. It was either this scene or the elevator scene (with Leo), but this one shocked me even more when I saw it in theaters. Definitely memorable.

2) The Dark Knight - Joker/Batman/Transport Truck Scene

One word: EPIC. When the truck flips and the music cuts and its completely silent...just unbelievable.

1) Se7en - Final Scene

One of the best endings to a movie I have ever seen if not the best. Nuff said.

Great list joker. I totally forgot about that first scene in pulp fiction. I remember I was a sophomore in high school and I rented it from Blockbuster. I had no idea what it was about. I just had heard some kids talking about it at school. Anyway, when I got ready to watch it, my whole family came in to watch it. I didn't know what it was about so I didn't stop them or stop the movie. After the scene your talking about was over, my mom told me to turn it off lol. Lol I didn't know it was gonna be like that. My baby brother and everybody was in the room lol. As soon as they all went to bed, I popped that tape right back in lol. After that scene, I couldn't wait to watch more of the movie.
