    Week 2 Recap:
The Hurricanes traveled again last week and faced had a thriller with BC. It was a rough game for the Canes as starting QB Stephen Morris got sidelined with a injury and the trainers didnt think it was safe to put him back on the field so Sophomore QB Ryan Williams hoped in the driver seat. BC defense was all over the place as Miami struggled to get much going but then for a second week Sophomore WR Phillip Dorsett came away with some big plays giving the sideline a spark and helping the Cane win they first game of the season. This week the U is at home and hosting the #13 Badgers it is sure to be a good one

    Miami Recruiting Trail:
Dade County is buzzing after the first commit the Canes got this season and boy is he right on time

QB Steve Marshall #7 QB 4*
    6'1 228lbs Roswell, GA
Steve might be the best under the radar QB in the nation. He is a pure pocket passer and is the perfect fit for the Canes system and as a true freshman could start day one. He have a strong arm and pretty accurate with his passes and can only get better with time to possibly be a impact player. This underrated offense might shock some ppl next season for sure

    Week 6 Recap:
This week was must win for the Canes as they hosted NC State. It was a storm in Miami as the rain fell and it seemed to fuel the Hurricanes as they dug deep and left it all on the field. With starting QB Stephen Morris out and Ryan Williams struggling to get his confidence Coach Head Hunter went against common knowlege and gave true freshman QB Preston Dewey as shot and he did nothing but impress the coaches. He finished the day going 11 for 19 256 yards 2 TDs and 1 int. He might get the green light to start vs Bama with Morris being out 2 more weeks. WR Allen Hurns also gave the team a big spark with his 4 catches for 143 yards and a TD. The big play came on a 83 yard pass where got some space and took it to the house. RB James also added 113 yards rushing and a TD. On the defensive side the Canes struggled yet another week as they gave up some plays that could have been prevented. There is much room for this team to grow but can this young Miami team do it enough and in time to salvage a season with this rough of a start? The next few weeks shall tell the story.

    Recruiting Trail Week 6:
The isnt much big news in recruiting other than Miami getting 2 verbals from 2 4 star recruits. #14 Guard John Hopkins and #12 Defensive End Jacob Ramsey. Both guys add depth to this Miami squad and it seem like they will both commit within a week or so.

    Miami vs Virgina

As the Hurricanes fight for a right to a bowl game after a underachieving season they traveled to Virginia to face the Cavaliers. A famous person once said pressure either breaks things or make Diamonds and today Diamonds was made. Coach gave Williams the green light after he came in had the best showing vs VT in his eyes. He made the most of it by leading the offense with his arm and leading the Canes to a 31-10 victory. Sophomore WR Phillip Dorsett made his impact on the game touching the end-zone 2 times and breaking the century mark with 101 yards. This team is very young and will only grow from here so look out for the Canes.
